NQA has completed its Carbon Calculations for 2023

We have undertaken this every year since 2019 in compliance with ISO 14064-1 and PAS 2060, and have comprehensively quantified all of our Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions.

The data shows continued progress towards our internal goal of NQA’s operations in the UK and Ireland being Net Zero by 2035. In the interim, we will continue to operate as carbon neutral until true Net Zero is achieved. 

Compared to our baseline year of 2019, our 2023 GHG emissions showed some excellent improvements, for example:

• We have reduced our overall GHG emissions across Scopes 1, 2 and 3 by 51%

• We have reduced our tCO2e per Audit Day Delivered by 58%

• We have reduced our tCO2e per On Site Audit Day Delivered by 41%       

This has primarily been achieved through decarbonisation of our fleet, changes in our working practices, and changes in our purchasing practices. 

We are very proud at NQA with the progress we are making towards our ultimate goal of Net Zero.
