Remote Aerospace Auditing
20 maart 2020
In light of the current global situation, we would like to inform you of a reviewed approach from the IAQG and therefore an update to NQA’s auditing process for AS91XX certification.
As of the 30th March 2020, we will be temporarily moving AS91XX auditing activities to remote audits. Initially, this will run for a period of 3 months and will be monitored in line with domestic and global developments.
The implementation of this approach for Aerospace, does however, come with some industry specific caveats, which are included in the bullets below:
NQA shall endeavour to perform all surveillance and re-certification audits remotely. Please familiarise yourself with NQA’s Preparing for Your Remote Audit document which should answer any questions you may have.
If we are unable to fully complete an audit remotely, for whatever reason, then an additional on-site audit will be required. For surveillance audits, this will be added onto your next audit as additional requirements. For a recertification audit, this may potentially result in certificate expiration. However, in light of the current circumstances, NQA are able to re-instate your certificate once an on-site audit has been completed, with no additional time or requirements placed upon you. We are working hard to mitigate this wherever possible.
If you have any open non-conformance's that usually require an on-site audit to close these out, your Assessor will attempt to close these out during your remote audit. Please prepare your evidence for this in advance of your remote audit. This is an exception given these unprecedented circumstances.
For our new clients, unfortunately at this time, the IAQG are not permitting stage 1 or stage 2 audits to be conducted remotely. If you are due to have an AS91XX audit please contact us to reschedule for later in the year.
Finally, we would like to assure you that we are focused on ensuring the continued validity of your certification and the continuity of our support. Our team are on hand to answer any questions that you may have and to steer you through this new way of auditing.
We would like to thank you for your continued support and wish you, your families and your organisation well over the coming months.
