60 Seconds with Samantha Roberts

20 juli 2018
Samantha Roberts took the time this month to tell us about her impressive start at NQA and her challenges and excitement for what lies ahead.

What is your role?

I have recently taken on the new challenging position of Operations Manager in the Dunstable office after joining in 2017. It’s my responsibility within the business to ensure that my team and I deliver NQA's clients across the UK and Ireland unbeatable customer service, timely certificate issuance and technical support. I have the support of a motivated team who together work to meet these goals.

Most memorable moment at work?

My most memorable moment is being given the opportunity to take on the role of Operations Manager.

I originally joined NQA as a Key Account Manager which I really enjoyed however after 4 months, I was offered this opportunity and I couldn’t turn it down! I love change and this role really gives me lots of new challenges and opportunities I can sink my teeth into!

One of the main aspects that really stands out is how much NQA has really supported and encouraged me in my personal development and I look forward to what the future holds.

Favourite things about working for NQA?

One of my favourite things about working for NQA is training. I love to learn and read. This job gives me the opportunity to continue to learn every day.

I can’t see a point where I would have finished learning in the world of certification! NQA has a strong ethos of training; offering courses and literature to support you. This in turns not only supports my on-going development but also helps me support our clients.

NQA is not just an online and phone business which is great! I am often going out to visit clients face-to face which I believe gives me a better understanding of their requirements and any concerns they have; to ensure we deliver the best service we can.

An ethos that we are very proud of at NQA is our personal and friendly service, so it's great to be able to build and maintain proper relationships with our clients and support them with their on-going certification process. Two way communication is a major part of our business.
