60 Seconds With Claire Bradley
What is your role?
I carry out the technical review of audit reports and issue certificates to our range of automotive clients across the world, in countries such as Hungary, Spain, UK and India.
I am responsible for keeping the International Automotive Task Force (IATF) global database up-to-date as well as ensuring that the needs and expectations of our automotive clients are continually met.
Most memorable moment at work?
It’s hard to pick just one as there have been a few! However I did enjoy flying to Paris for the IATF Stakeholder Conference in October. I was able to learn about the IATF Vision and Strategy initiatives and some of their upcoming projects. I got to meet and chat to automotive sector representatives from all over the world and from other Certification Bodies.
Favourite things about working for NQA?
My favourite things are the learning opportunities and support in achieving qualifications. I have successfully completed the CQI IRCA ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor training, Core Tools training and I am currently studying towards the IATF ADP qualification, which when passed would enable me to make certification decisions and improve my competence and opportunities within my role.
Top tip for people looking at certification?
My suggestion would be to take a look at some of our case studies. There are some great examples of how companies from all different industries use, implement and utilise ISO standards to benefit them and there may be guidance in there that might help you on your journey. It's always good to take a step back and see things from a slightly different perspective.
How might you be able to help our readers?
If you are considering IATF 16949 certification then please do get in touch with me, I am happy to answer any questions you may have about the scheme.
