What is your role?

I hold the position of Certifications Operations Manager at NQA India, managing a team supporting the UK office in technical and non-technical activities. I'm passionate about auditing (efficient in QMS, EMS, OHSAS, HACCP) which I accomplish along with my current role. I'm also happy to announce that im going to complete a successful 8 years at NQA in June 2019.

Most memorable moment at work?

Every day we have new challenges and I suppose all moments are memorable. Starting from the day I joined, my auditing experience which includes travelling across India and few audits outside India as well, including business trips to the UK office, our first accreditation audit at NQA India, team building brunches & lunch parties and days out with my team.

Favourite things about working for NQA?

NQA has always recognised interest and work ethic of the staff and I was lucky enough to be in both role of Auditor (Client) and Auditee (Accreditation), where I have played an active role at both ends.

NQA is also very keen in developing the skills of staff through in-house and external training and personal skill development.

Top tip for people looking at certification?

My tip for companies looking at certification is to choose right certification body who’s accreditations can be traced back, who are reliable and maintain confidentiality of the information.

Knowing the requirements of your chosen standard should be the first action which can be done through appropriate training. Choose a certification body who has auditors with right industrial experience and expertise which will always be a value added one.
