ISO 14064 is a series of standards which provides Governments, businesses, regions, countries, and other organisations with a complementary set of tools for frameworks to quantify, monitor, report and verify their GHG Emissions.

You must have an intermediate knowledge of PAS 2060 or GHG Inventory before you sit this course.

Course aims

This course aims to provide an understanding of the ISO 14064 standards and requirements including recognising, quantifying, calculating, and converting emissions and removals in alignment with ISO 14064-1. This course will also review ISO 14064-2 and provide an understanding of the requirements necessary to carry out a verification audit in alignment to ISO 14064-3. By the end of the course, you will have the understanding to be able to carry out GHG Verification audits.

What will I learn?

  • To understand the background, purpose and intent of the ISO 14064 standards including different subjects related to verification

  • To recognise, quantify, calculate, and convert the emissions and removals relating to a defined subject, in alignment to ISO 14064-1

  • To understand mitigation activities in reducing a carbon footprint

  • To understand the requirements of ISO 14064-2

  • To understand the requirements of carrying out verification in alignment to ISO 14064-3

This course is aimed at:

  • Senior managers and/or professionals from all types of organisations required to carry out carbon footprint quantifications and undertake verification.

You must have an intermediate knowledge of PAS 2060 or GHG Inventory before you sit this course.

A basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel would be useful when attending this course.

What else do I need to know?

  • Dress code - Smart casual - your cameras will be switched on and delegates and tutors will be able to interact with each other.

  • Breaks - There will regular time slots allocated during your course for refreshment/restroom breaks.

  • Proof of attendance - You will be sent a certificate of attendance following your training.

  • What to have with you - We recommend that you have a copy of the relevant standard with you on the day to reference. You will receive a digital copy of all necessary materials before the course starts so please ensure you have access to these on the day and contact us if you have not received them.
