NQA Achieves UKAS Accreditation for ISO 22301

NQA is pleased to announce that we have recently received UKAS accreditation for the International Standard for Business Continuity Management ISO 22301:2019.

Following a rigorous auditing assessment, successful UKAS accreditation for ISO 22301 was gained on the 13th August 2021.

In the event of an emergency, many businesses and organizations need the ability to mitigate damage and continue operating. ISO 22301 is the international standard for Business Continuity Management and was designed to help organizations prevent, prepare for, respond to and recover from unexpected and disruptive incidents.

To do so, the standard provides a practical framework for setting up and managing an effective business continuity management system. ISO 22301 aims to safeguard an organization from a wide range of potential threats and disruptions such as supply chain issues, floods, cyber-attacks, IT disruptions or loss of critical staff.

This standard may be right for your organization if you need to demonstrate to stakeholders that your organization can rapidly overcome operational disruption to provide continued and effective service.

Whether you need to implement the standard to remain in compliance with industry regulations or not, pursuing ISO 22301 certification can help your organization develop resilience and improve risk management.

Our accreditation neatly coincides with the transition from ISO 22301:2012 to ISO 22301:2019. You can find a transition timeline here.

As of October 31st 2021, all certification bodies must cease conducting initial and recertification audits to the old version. So from the end of October, we’ll only issue 2019 certificates. The last batch of 2012 certificates must be transitioned by January 31st 2023.
