Amends/Commences: 

  • GB Retained: Regulation (EU) 2019/2072 establishing uniform conditions for the implementation of Regulation (EU) 2016/2031 as regards protective measures against pests of plants

  • The Plant Health (Fees) (Forestry) (England and Scotland) Regulations 2015 (SI 2015/350)

  • GB Retained: Regulation (EU) 2016/2031 on protective measures against pests of plants

Comes into force: 20th April 2021

GB Retained: Regulation (EU) 2019/2072 establishing uniform conditions for the implementation of Regulation (EU) 2016/2031 as regards protective measures against pests of plants
A wide range of minor technical changes are made to account for deficiencies in the retained EU legislation that were not accounted for when it was initially retained. Changes include minor wording changes and changes to lists of protected zones, plants and plant pests throughout the legislation.
 
The Plant Health (Fees) (Forestry) (England and Scotland) Regulations 2015 (SI 2015/350)
The requirements are established for the minimum frequency of physical and identity checks of  consignments of certain plants, plant products are other objects entering Great Britain from an EU Member State, Liechtenstein or Switzerland.
 
GB Retained: Regulation (EU) 2016/2031 on protective measures against pests of plants
A single minor change is made to correct a wording error that makes no significant change to the requirements of the legislation.
