Why do you like working with NQA?

We have had a great working relationship with NQA for a long time, providing its members with monthly updates to key pieces of Environment and Health and Safety legislation. We have also run webinars alongside NQA to support its members and there will be more of these coming throughout 2022, so watch out for these.

Top tip for people looking at certification?

Time – It’s always going to take longer than you think to implement and embed a management system within your company. Having the right tools and support in place will significantly reduce the time you spend ensuring your business meets the requirements of the standard and more importantly remains compliant.

What do you find is the most common point of misunderstanding regarding certification or specific standards when visiting clients?

The Legislation Update Service was born from feedback from our clients about how difficult they found setting up and maintaining a legal register. The standards require you to not only evaluate your compliance and document the evidence but also maintain knowledge and understanding of your compliance status. It’s in this area where are client struggle the most, mainly due to having the times themselves to check new and updated pieces of legislation and how that apply to the organisation.
