MOST MEMORABLE AUDITING MOMENT

There have been many memorable moments in life as an Assessor, however the one that sticks with me the most is when a member of a Client Management Team said that he now realises that what I wanted to see as an Assessor was what he expected to see as a Manager. This made me smile as it meant that the client thoroughly understood the importance of my visit.

GREATEST CLIENT BENEFIT GAINED FROM ISO CERTIFICATION

The greatest client benefit I can I think of, is it can help to gain more business. Procurement specifications often require certification as a condition to supply, so certification can help to opens doors.

TOP TIP FOR GETTING THE MOST FROM YOUR MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

My top tip would be to make the management system fit in with the business. Too often I see organizations, thinking that this is an add-on or additional function of the business. This is untrue, as it should be amalgamated within the core business function to ensure you get the best out of your management system.

MOST COMMON NON-CONFORMANCE

The most common NCR is Management Review or Internal Audits not being carried out. It is highly important to ensure that you review your organization to ensure that all business functions are working properly and any issues within the business are resolved. By doing this it will help to reduce unforeseen business risks.
